Welcome

I aim to provide an inclusive welcoming and professional service that provides the conditions to enable people to find a sense of wellbeing and personal fulfillment in their life and relationships.

I am a fully qualified and registered counsellor/psychotherapist working in the heart of Edinburgh offering both online and in-person therapy. Here I offer a brief introduction to my work.

I have extensive experience of supporting a diverse range of people in different health and social care settings and have practised as as a counsellor/psychotherapist for over 20 years. The breadth of my experience enables me to work sensitively and effectively with the wide range of issues and challenges that bring people into counselling. To maintain good practice in counselling I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and uphold their ethical framework.

I have personally witnessed how counselling can help people with a range of emotional and mental health challenges, how it can eliminate or minimise troubling symptoms so a person can function better and enhance their health and wellbeing. I also firmly believe that the relationship between therapist and client is crucial to determining whether counselling will be effective. I therefore offer an initial consultation session to enable us to assess the fit between us - whether it feels like we can work well together and also whether counselling is the best option to address your needs. This consultation is provided with no obligation to proceed further.

My other website pages give more detailed information. Please make contact with me if you’d like to ask any questions.
